Dimitra Kontova

Dimitra was born and raised in Lamia, Greece but has been living in Athens for over 10 years. She became physically disabled after a car accident in her early childhood.

After studying “Marketing and Communication” in Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) she then continued in the field of “Fashion Design & Styling”.

She works as an Inclusion & Accessibility Consultant at Association of Social Responsibility for Children and Youth – SKEP where she implements daily Educational Disability Awareness Programs in schools and Companies.

Dimitra is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Organization of Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA). She is a Volunteer on the TedxLamia Speakers team.

Through her attitude towards life and her active presence on social media, awareness campaigns and conferences, she challenges the stereotypes around disability and aims to create an inclusive society.
